Salma Hayek had her first big Hollywood performance in Robert Rodriguez's Desperado. Later she made her name through Frida as well as her Academy Award nomination. Hayek is also involved with television shows, notably as the director of Ugly Betty. Salma Hayek Jimenez began her life on 2 September 1966.
