Anamaria Marinca bio

Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. Her debut on screen was through the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. She speaks fluently French, German English, and Romanian. Her father, a theatre professor at one of Romania's top drama schools, is also theater teacher. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her a European Shooting Star in 2008. She taught in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu for four years. bAnamaria is an Romanian actress born on April 1, 1978 in Iasi Romania. An actress from Romanian descent Anamaria Marinca made her debut in film in the TV series British-Canadian Sex Traffic for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. The role she played in the Romanian art-film 4 months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days is remembered as well. It was a huge success and won numerous accolades, such as being awarded the European Film Award Best Actress for the London Film Critics. In 2007, she starred on the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 semaines si2 zile (4 Three Weeks, Four Months 3 Weeks, 3 Weeks, 2 Days), composed by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film received two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). She also appeared on the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca played Yasim in BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014) in which she was Irma she was the German woman who was Emma's aunt.
