Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She graduated with an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in film, theater, and television. Her career in acting began at the theatre. Later, she was a part of various television series, independent films and mainstream movies. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic series The Book of Negroes she appeared. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her performance, but she was also awarded and nominations. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. In her film career, she is best known for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. The role she played as a character in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
