Awkwafina
American actor and musician Awkwafina began her career with hilarious rap tracks that tackled racial identity and sexuality with an incisive and humorous perspective, before increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first musical experience. She was a trumpet player. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop training began as she was in her teens. While in the college years, she remained focused on her studies and majored both in women's study and journalism. While she was for a brief amount during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she completed her degree. The song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. The track was later included in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also included viral hits, such as body positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC BitcheUSD. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in 2015. This was another project. After a successful career as a singer and songwriter, she decided to take on the role of actor. Aside from early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed a series of notable parts, including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
